Business Issues

This client had already implemented their first phase of Hyperion Planning. Each month, actual data from their system needs to be loaded into their existing Hyperion Planning application for budgeting and forecasting purposes. This client needed assistance in the automation of this recurring data load and database calculations.

Ranzal Role

Ranzal completed the configuration and setup of the automation routine, designing the process to clear and load data and run specific Hyperion Essbase operations using batch files and Esscmd. After successfully installing and testing the automated batch routine in their live environment, Ranzal then assisted the client in using the automated batch processing to upload existing data and match it with existing reports. Ranzal provided the relevant documentation for maintenance and operation of the automated routine, and transferred the knowledge to the client.
