Business Issues

Analytics to track merchandise performance are an important part of managing day-to-day business trends and procurement decisions. Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Web Analysis were already in place as the business performance management solutions. Several versions behind the latest Essbase OLAP Server, this retailer wanted to reestablish an automation process for daily cube updates.

Ranzal Role

Ranzal consultants brought extensive Hyperion Essbase experience as well as retail experience to assist the company with Hyperion Essbase upgrades, daily automation for cube updates, process flow documentation, and cross-training for team members of the retailer’s Information Technology department.  Work continues with this retailer as Ranzal consultants and the retailer’s IT department continue to build and test automation solutions for their daily cube updates. Considerable knowledge transfer has taken place as well as documentation to support this knowledge transfer.
